Samantha + Ryan
Samantha and Ryan's wedding was a wedding of firsts for me. First time going to a Detroit Tigers game with a bride and groom and my first time wearing a tie to a baseball game. First time making it to the exact spot that the bride and groom met and the first time the maid of honor couldn't be there so there was a cardboard cutout of her and an audio recording of her toast. And it was all a blast. When Samantha and Ryan told me they bought tickets to the game so we could get photos at Comerica Park, I knew it would be memorable. We then went to the General Lecture building at Wayne State University to get photos by the building they met in. Who would have thought it would be 90+ degrees in May and we'd want to get inside for some a/c. An awesome worker there that day opened the building up for us AND then opened up the classroom they met in too. We were able to get some shots in the exact chairs they were sitting in when they first met. And in case that wasn't enough excitement, we capped off the day at the historic Eastern Market for the ceremony and reception. Also, since their dog couldn't be part of their wedding day we squeezed in an engagement session just a week before the wedding to get him in the wedding photos as close as we could. Thank you Sam and Ryan for having me there to capture your wedding day and be part of your celebration.
